It sort of makes sense about scientists, though. Because science is kind of the inverse of philosophy in that it's concerned with discovering material answers for the question of "Why?", whereas philosophy is steeped in the immaterial.
I've always thought that two disciplines were the flip sides of the same coin in that way. Each trying to answer the same question(s), but going about it in opposing ways, you know?
